yeah, just finished another Korean drama, The Moon Embracing the Sun.
Quite an interesting story with pretty and handsome faces. This is the first time I watched Korean traditional drama that set place in the palace. The series is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Jung Eun-gwol and directed by Kim Do-hoon and Lee Seong-jun.
Sun in the title refers to king while moon is queen.
It tells of a touching, poignant love story between a fictional king of the Joseon Dynasty and an intelligent, well-loved girl from a noble family. She was chosen as crown princess, but due to the queen's family clan is trying to gain more power from the reign, she was killed. Fate has bring the Chief Shaman to be her killer and rescuer. She resurrected as a shaman with the helps of the Chief Shaman. She returned after 8 years with very little trace of memories for her past. However, she has not been forgotten by those she left behind. The king, whom she supposed to married to, manage to recognised her and seriously investigate about his crown princess death. At the same time, the king is facing intense political conspiracy from royal clan. The interesting parts lies on how the royal couple survived in the vying political turbulent as well as to reclaim her rightful place as the queen of Joseon.
